About Heidi Beverlin

After graduating from BYU with a BS in Political Science, I worked  in customer service management at US West Cellular (now Verizon).  This was way back in the early 1990s. Cell phones were a new thing and no one knew how to use them.  They were bricks or hard wired in cars.  Everybody wanted one, but the technology was confusing and not user friendly.  Coverage was sparse and expensive.  What does this have to do with health insurance?   This experience taught me how to educate people through complicated situations. Health Insurance is something we want and know we need, but often don’t know it works or how to choose a plan.
I often comment that people would rather see the dentist than me. Unfortunately,  frustration is a common experience.   I have a personal connection to that frustration. I spent many years working with and sometimes fighting insurance companies to provide benefits for a child with greater than average needs.  This taught me some of the ins and outs of the industry and compassion.   In 2015, I took a position at a health insurance brokerage in Nampa, ID where I learned more regarding Medicare and the Affordable Care Act (Your Health Idaho).    In 2017 I opened an independent office where focus on educating consumers and performing comprehensive needs reviews so they can feel comfortable about their decisions.  
In my spare time, I play the piano and compose. I work in my yard and love to travel with my husband and family.
